An experiment in synergizing my social media platformization buzz streams

I've got a Facebook fan page now. Even though it looks almost exactly the same as an ordinary Facebook page, it's different: it's a public page, so you don't have to be a Facebook member or log in to see it.

But wait! There's more. If you are a member, you can Become a Fan. That means that I get fans, and you get...fandom! Sweet, obsessive fandom! Also: free ice cream, if you've got the right kind of Internet connection. Contact your ISP for more information.

Finally--and this is the best part--you don't have to be my Friend to be my fan. How cool is that? You and I can have the same shallow, impersonal relationship enjoyed by all luminous celebrities and their legions of fawning admirers.

Right now, I am my only fan. This puts me in the awkward position of stalking myself. So, be a dear and help me out, won't you? Thanks ever so much, kiss kiss.

I actually looked for you on facebook last week - hey, I'm really bored right now :)
I will run right on over and become an official fan.

Your membership kit and rubber hat will arrive soon!
